The Soccer Coaches GOLDEN Rule:
Avoid the 3 L's
Lines: Standing in line should be reserved for the grocery store. Players want to play soccer at practice, not stand in lines and wait.
Laps: Laps do not teach players how to play soccer. Although conditioning is important, create drills that not only condition but teach soccer as well.
Lectures: Studies have shown that you have about 28 seconds to get your point across before you get tuned out! Be precise and relevant. Get players moving quickly and they will learn more.
